Walking in the Rain

We recently hiked up Mt Lofty (Warrandyte State Park), on Wurundjeri Country. Despite the rain, we saw kangaroos near the peak. This area is special because it is the birthplace of William Barak, a prominent elder of the Wurundjeri clan, and a diplomat and artist as well. He protected the rights of his people while also being a spokesperson for his people to white settlers. You can find out more about his story here. But now, a story of walking in the rain…
