As one of my favourite songs says, it’s summertime, and the livin’ is easy. The past week and the festive season generally has been a lot of me being a bit of a water baby, spending time in a pool or in the ocean or on a boat or even a jetski. I confess that spending time in water (baths included) is one of my favourite kinds of self-care, and that I have sincerely missed summer, since I was in Melbourne for two weeks of last summer.
But even as I soak up the sunshine and the splashes, it’s hard to relax and reset before really starting to work again this week with the Australian bushfires. Nevertheless, it has been much needed, much missed, and much enjoyed.
