An utterly ridiculous emotional wreck she is. Her feelings swing from high to low in a matter of moments. To her, there is nothing worse  than that the uncomfortable truth that this rollercoaster of emotions hurts others. But how can she stop it? It is ingrained in her, it is her personality. How can she cope with her emotions? Are they even supposed to be coped with? Shouldn’t they be accepted as part of her identity? Is being emotional and sensitive a trait of failure? Or can these feelings be her foundation of what she stands for, be her strength in how she empathises with others, be her pride in why she lives. She swings like a pendulum, from one emotion to its opposite.
The coldness seeps into her bones, chilling her, the bumps on her skin obvious. Yet through it all, she keeps going. Determined, courageous, strong, powerful. Dangerous, even. Because she knows it is in when she is most vulnerable, most tired, most awkward, most lonely, that she will shine. The snowflakes lie in a tangled mess of hair, sparkling gently, crowning her with love. And it spurs her on. Even when the going is tough, she perseveres.
