A Room Of One’s Own

My mum has just returned from a couple of weeks overseas with my grandparents and extended family in Malaysia/Singapore, and while I won’t miss the cooking every night, it does remind me of a time when I had a room of one’s own. Living at home with my parents for the duration of uni as I do, my room is my sanctuary, and it’s highly decorated with books and art as such, but even so, it’s different when you’ve lived independently for a period of time, able to do as a whim floats by. It reminded me of a time I was in a Georgian country home a few miles beyond Bath, UK, nestled among two or three streets of other little homes in a valley skirted by a railway line, when I took these shots.
