Every year, I love to travel to regional Victoria to see the changing seasons, step into some crunchy leaves, and enjoy the local general store, café, and/or garden nursery. This year, my mum and I visited Mt. Macedon, idyllic and refreshing, and one of my favourite spots in Australia.
Frank Sinatra had it right when he sang about Autumn Leaves (in that oh so delicious voice of his):
The falling leaves
Drift by the window
The autumn leaves
Of red and goldI see your lips
The summer kisses
The sunburned hands
I used to holdSince you went away
The days grow long
And soon I’ll hear
Old winter’s songBut I miss you most of all
My darling
When autumn leaves
Start to fallSince you went away
The days grow long
And soon I’ll hear
Old winter’s songBut I miss you most of all
My darling
When autumn leaves
Start to fall
